Dotted Image

Your image rebuilt out of dots, with the darker areas dropping theirs so the picture reads through the grid. The cursor can push them away, pull them in or swirl them, and squares work as well as circles.

Dropout strength is the control that turns this from a filter into a picture: raise it and the dark parts of the image lose their dots entirely, so the subject is drawn by absence. Cell size sets the resolution, dot scale how much of each cell is filled, and there is a frame rate cap for when the grid gets dense.
