The button opens into the video. It grows from exactly where it sat to the middle of the screen while the page behind it dims and blurs, and clicking away runs the whole thing backwards.

Duration is set separately for desktop and mobile, and mobile also takes its own scale, because a window that fills a laptop screen has to behave differently on a phone. Backdrop blur and opacity are independent: heavy blur with low opacity keeps the page visible but unreadable, which is usually what you want behind a video.
