Raycast

A beam that opens from the middle and trails your cursor a beat behind, cycling through four gradient colors as it goes. Horizontal blinds cut rhythmic bands across it, and a fine dither gives the whole thing the grain of an old screen.

Mouse tracking is a dial rather than a switch, so the beam can follow closely, lag well behind, or ignore you completely. Divisions sets how many blinds cut across it, and the four gradient colors cycle on their own clock, which means the beam can be moving one way while the color moves another.
