Speed is set separately for mobile, which is not a detail: a pace that reads as calm across a wide screen is frantic across a narrow one. An overlay can be laid over the images to knock them back, and the fade at the edges takes its own width and opacity so the ribbon can dissolve early or run almost to the border.
