A row of icons where only the one you are on says its name. Hover or click and that tab widens, the label slides out from behind the icon, and whichever tab was open closes at once. Fourteen controls, down to whether hovering is enough or it takes a click.

Built for navigation that has to fit a narrow header: every tab is an icon until it is the one you want. Only one ever opens, so the row never grows past the space you gave it. Set it to detect the current page and the right tab arrives already open, and the delay control lets a row stagger instead of snapping together.
