Flow Grid

Vertical lines rippling in a slow wave until your cursor arrives, at which point the nearest ones shove away and spring back. Friction and tension are separate controls, so the recoil can be tight or loose.

The gaps between lines are set separately on each axis, so the field can be a tight weave or a loose comb. Friction and tension are the recoil: high tension snaps the lines back fast, high friction lets them wallow, and the two together are the difference between rubber and water.
